What is occurring in America's governmental system today is not what the architects of the Declaration of Independence had in mind. After reading Chuck Norris's column in World Net Daily, I must concur with the object and scope of his column. However, I would take his concept of "The Coming Revolution" one step farther. When we read what the framers of America had in mind based on previous experience with tyrannical governments, we can truly understand their concept of freedom; freedom that was given not by man, but endowed by the Creator on the entire human race. What these brave men and women fought for is now being discarded by egotistical government officials propelled by avarice and their desire for absolute power. Power that will perpetrate on the peoples severe bondage, physical and financial! These incalcitrant individuals reject the concepts delineated in the Declaration of Independence and subsequently, the Constitution! We need to read a section of the Declaration to comprehend fully their (the framers of these foundational documents) direction and reasons for inclusion.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. - That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, - That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." (Declaration of Independence)
When we analyze this paragraph in the light of today's government misconduct, it becomes more apparent that change must come albeit revolution or abolishment, this current government must be changed. Some type of revolution must be seriously considered. The framers knew their lives were unvalued before entering the new colony. They knew the severe bondage that they suffered while living under the regime of ruthless despotic kings. And they knew the sorrow of religious oppression that accompanied them every day of their life prior to their exodus. They considered their former estate and determined not to allow this evil to come upon them in the new colony, their new free world. And, while it lasted, it was very good for the new colonists. Nevertheless, there arose a Pharaoh that knew not Joseph, casting aside religious values! America's peoples are the descendants of Joseph; the Bible is our true textbook. The new colonists knew the Bible, and believed in it. The words of the Most High adorn many documents and speeches given by these brave people. They were willing to give everything, including their lives, in order to remain free from any form of tyrannical government.
Well! Have we come full circle? Has this current government forgotten the rights of the governed? Have we been forced to accept the leaders' rulership as absolute and dictatorial in concept? When did we relinquish the rights of the "consent of the governed?" It is "We the People" that are supposedly consigned the rights to set these leaders' into their positions of rulership, according to this document. When the governed are supplanted by the governing, and the people no longer have the powers inscribed in the founding documentation, we have been constrained to another dictatorship from which our ancestors fled. Do we need another King of England? Do we need another Stalin, Lenin, or Hitler? This is exactly what happens when the checks and balances are disturbed and disrupted by narcissistic representatives. When the foundational documentation remains inviolable, the nation under which it was written cannot be easily destroyed. However, when these documents along with the major source of reference, the Bible, are breached, destruction is at hand!
I cannot concur with Mr. Norris's selections politically speaking of course. And this is my right to agree or disagree. Huckabee, Mr. Norris' choice for presidential candidate in my opinion is inadequate. However, he is by far the better choice than McCain. Also, Romney supersedes McCain by a wide margin. Mr. Norris also considers Sarah Palin a "maverette" politically speaking. However, Mr. Norris needs to do his homework and take a closer look at this one. I have written about her fiscal irresponsibility previously. She just doesn't pass muster! Her popularity among some is contingent on which head the males see her with! We can certainly do better than McCain and Palin as GOP candidates. And, this is one of the major reasons Americans needs to alter or completely abolish this current government. We are over 480 Billion dollars in budget deficit. We are closing in on 9.7 Trillion dollars as America's National Debt. The fiscal irresponsibility of President Bush (2), Congress, Senate and the governors of America's fifty states is beyond alarming. We are being destroyed by these leaders and what pray tell is being done, talk without action? This is where talk show hosts like Limbaugh are a joke! He touts the economy as being good while in TRUTH Limbaugh, it is crashing! Wake up and pull your head out of the sand! Maybe Chuck Norris can generate a head of steam and get something accomplished. Just view these politicians as opponents in a fight Mr. Norris, and take no prisoners. You cannot have respect of persons to accomplish what you are trying to do! We face two choices, either alter or abolish this current governmental system. I am for the latter!
