Shut Up or I’ll Sue You!

If you don’t think our Constitutional Rights are being eroded away, you must have your head in the sand. Freedom of speech is a fundamental right for all Americans. But this also has some restrictions, i.e., you can’t yell fire in a theatre if there isn’t any cause for alarm. But; there is cause for alarm when some individuals want to stifle you where they are concerned. And this presents a real problem for America’s citizens!

The Democratic Party wants to stop the Federal Government’s wiretapping policies. Why? Because the protesting party members do not want their privacy invaded! This is all well and good, providing that is all it entails. But! I’m afraid there is more to this than meets the eye! Those who make the most noise sometimes have something to hide! "The lady doth protest too much, methinks." As per Hamlet! They do not want you to know who they are calling or what they are saying. They could be making or receiving dirty calls, also called phone sex. They could be betraying their company or the government to foreign agencies? They could be into pornography and want to keep the public from knowing about their salacious behavior? This would certainly apply to people of renown, like Congressmen, or Senators, Judges, or anyone in prominent office!

Yes, I certainly believe we should be able to say anything we want, but within reason of course. Litigious behaviors are useful tools of the, I can say what I want about you, but you can’t say anything about me crowd, or I’ll sue you! When realistically speaking, they do not want you to know the truth. So they use litigation as a silencing device when hard core truths are made public via press or audio media exposures. This is especially useful when you are a lazy no account that wants to capitalize via lawsuits for financial gain. Sort of like ambulance chasing lawyers. Seizing any opportunity to make money or fame, they are shameless.

Bill of Rights:

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

So, now we see in World Net Daily, a lawsuit launched against WND and two freelance writers. The asking amount is $165 million. The core of the lawsuit is the 2000 Presidential elections. The party or parties involved are saying; because of these 18 articles concerning the vapid Al Gore and his record of corruption, he lost the state of Tennessee and thus the election. The suit is being brought by Democrat activist, Clark Jones. Any surprise here, a Democratic Activist would want to sue?

One of the core issues in this lawsuit revolves around the source/s of information that was supplied to the investigative reporters. Although the reports are true, it means nothing to the losers of that states Presidential elections. Gore just can’t believe that he was not elected President, and is now using this frivolous lawsuit as a tool of revenge. Now you can see one of the many reasons he is unfit for Presidential office! So! Just shut up, or I’ll sue you. And in Gore’s case, it would be vicariously!
